Our Top Learning Tips

With over 8 hours of course content you may feel a little overwhelmed. Fear not, use our practical tips below to maximise your learning.

  • Summon your inner tortoise! It is tempting to try and tackle several hours of learning in one go. However, you will improve your knowledge retention if you limit each session to 45mins.

  • Don't be afraid to pause and think. It's your birthing journey and we are here to support you by giving your the knowledge to empower your emotions and decision-making. Stop, think a little, and relate to your experiences. The course will take on a new level of meaning and utility!

  • Are you struggling to retain some of the knowledge? Grab a notebook and pen; writing by hand forces your brain to process information which helps you successfully load that information into your memory. Simples!

  • Be the teacher and share your new found knowledge. The power of teaching on learning is real, so effective, infact, that researchers have given it a name 'The Protege Effect'.
