About the Members Club

The midwives at My Expert Midwife do not monitor any of these groups continuously, including the ‘Midwife Questions’ group, therefore if you have any concerns about you or your baby, you should contact, without delay, your medical care team on the emergency numbers provided to you by them.

This group is for parents-to-be to support each other, clinical queries can be asked over on our ‘Midwife Questions’ group.

We all have emotions and during online chat this can sometimes be misinterpreted, especially if the topic is sensitive so, please follow the rules below for a harmonious and supportive experience.

  1. Be kind to each other – use respectful language and be sensitive to other’s situations and individual experiences
  2. Be friendly and respectful with your words – if you wouldn’t say it face-to-face don’t say it online
  3. Value each other’s opinion – don’t assume everyone understands where you’re coming from
  4. Keep each other’s confidence - don’t share photos, stories, or personal information without permission
  5. Share your experiences to support each other but avoid crossing boundaries into medical advice
  6. Don’t minimise other people’s experiences
  7. Keep disagreement healthy
  8. Absolutely no advertising without prior approval from the admin team
  9. If you’re concerned about a post or comment, please use the ‘admin alert’ function
  10. If you’re a Healthcare Professional or birth worker and are not pregnant please announce this at the start of your post (eg, Midwife Here, Doctor Here, Doula here etc and use links to evidence in support of your opinion)
